Veteran director Ram Gopal Verma may be down but he isn’t out. He is ready to venture back in his favorite world, the Underworld, even though his recently released ‘Sarkar Raj’ hasn’t met with the expected success. This time, he will come with the title ‘Contract’. When asked to clarify its category, he asserts that ‘Contract’ is at par with his much acclaimed film ‘Satya’, and is just unlike his latest duds that had underworld in the backgrounds like ‘James’ or ‘Shiva’. He is aware that his ‘Sarkar Raj’, though appreciated, hasn’t met with the success of its prequel ‘Sarkar’.
Ramu is now under attack for committing blunders in filmmaking. In spite of such a charge, the director is found in the best of spirit and announcing his new venture at IIFA in Bangkok. His new film is largely shot in Bangkok and drives its title from the contract killings that the mafia is known for in that country. Besides, the film even takes a look at the lives of the undercover cops, he adds, and reveals, that only newcomers will be cast in this movie and there will be no big stars like the Big B.
