'Singh is Kinng' is going to hit Indian theaters coming Friday, August 8. If its promos and the hype is any correct indication, then the movie will put the theaters on fire with Akshay Kumar playing daredevil stunts in the movie. It is learnt that the movie's advance booking had started some three weeks in advance from the date of its release. A cinema hall in Nagpur has reported this. Besides, on its opening booking day itself the last show had got houseful in a matter of few hours of opening the ticket window. The rest shows for the opening first three days are on the verge of getting houseful as well, it adds. Good news for the film distributors from the team of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif (lead pair), Vipul Shah (producer) and Anees Bazmee (director).

Since no movie, big or small, in the recent past has come close to success at box office, 'Singh Is Kinng' is sure to prove its King the coming Friday. As far as the movie's lead star is concerned, he will strike his seventh consecutive hit though with the exception of 'Tashan'. Similarly, After being crowned the sexiest woman in the world, Katrina Kaif is banking on 'Singh Is Kinng' as she is placed opposite Akshay who has given her two back to back out of her five whammies. With 'Singh Is Kinng' and her next 'Yuvraj', Katrina seems to be having seven hits in a row, a record in Bollywood. You may recall that she has already delivered back to back hits like 'Namastey London', 'Partner', 'Apne', Welcome' and 'Race'.

As its release date is approaching fast so ' Singh Is Kinng' is creating more and more curiosity among viewers. Yes, its director Anees Bazmee is also excited. He says that his product promises all the masala that no other movie had it ever before. So, he is proud that this will be his one more hit after 'No Entry' and 'Welcome'. When asked about the USP of 'Singh Is Kinng', Anees adds that it has terrific music, mind-blowing action sequences shot in virgin locales of Egypt, Punjab and Gold Coast in Australia apart from the uniqueness of most of the film's actors sporting a turban, which is a first for any Hindi film!

On signing Akshay for the movie, Anees reveals that soon after his script is over, he decides upon the name of his hero's character. Since his hero happens to be a very happy go lucky and also a dare devil person, so he described him as Happy Singh. Who else but Akshay could be the choice, he asks? Then, he asked his designer to cast Akshay in the lead role and felt that Akshay would look best in a turban. Is he satisfied with his hero? Anees quips that Akshay has attempted many actions that had never been there on the Hindi screen. Similarly, his heroine Katrina Kaif has left nothing unturned to come up to his expectation. The director is proud to mention that every character in the film has a definite role and no one including Sonu Sood, Ranvir Shorey and Javed Jaffrey, has been wasted as found in many a film.
