Bebo will be a Hindu wife

Bollywood’s biggest and longest romance before marriage is brewing more news. Jr. Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, i.e. Saif Ali Khan, is soon to marry Kareena Kapoor, who is perhaps the biggest Kapoor name since her grandfather Prithvi Raj Kapoor and Bollywood doyen Raj Kapoor. Senior Pataudi had married Sharmila Tagore 43 years ago. Buzz is that Kareena will follow in mother-in-law to be Sharmila Tagore's footsteps by wearing a sharara for the big day but Bebo will not convert to Islam! Kareena will not change her name or Hindu identity. In fact, Saif himself told a daily that he wouldn’t want Bebo to change her religion. He doesn't buy or believe in conversion. He’s happy that the law has been amended to allow the marriage under a Special Marriage Act.
In the past, all the inter-religion marriages in the Pataudi family saw the women convert to Islam for the nikah. Saif's Bengali mother Sharmila took the name of Ayesha Begum, his first wife Amrita Singh, too, converted and adopted a Muslim name. The wedding will take place in the Pataudi palace, though it is uncertain whether the ceremonies will be done as per Hindu tradition or following Islam rituals.
