Born on January 5, 1986, Deepika Padukone is a well-known name in the glamour world. Although Deepika started her career with modelling, few people know that she had already made her debut on the big screen with a Kannada film ‘Aishwarya’. But what brought her to the limelight was her performance in Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ in the year 2007. It was then followed by yet another successful film, ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, which saw her opposite her ex beau Ranbir Kapoor. In the same year, Deepika was seen in a double role in ‘Chandni Chowk to China’ opposite Akshay Kumar. Then Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ happened which was not only a commercial success, but also made Deepika one of the mainstream Bollywood actresses. In 2010, the critics as well as the audience lauded her performance as a blind dancer in ‘Lafangey Parindey’. Thereafter, she appeared in films like ‘Break ke Baad’, ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’ and ‘Aarakshan’. Recently, the actress launched a Health Magazine in Mumbai where she divulged into revealing her fitness mantras.
