The Chamma Chamma girl who is a very good dancer couldn't resist when she was offered the opportunity to judge Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She says that this provided her not only a fabulous sum of money but also experience inasmuch as she has enjoyed the confidence of the contestants as well as the audience. Though she never dreamt of doing a TV show but Jhalak … connected her very well with the audience, she adds. After Jhalak, she claims to have got several offers to do reality shows, but she didn't accept them because of their concepts and formats. However, she grabbed the Waar Parriwar without any second thought as this related to music, which is her childhood love. She admits that she is neither a singer nor has she ever learnt it.

"However, I have grown up in musical environment as my grandfather and maternal uncle were classical singers. I have a great collection of music . Though I can't sing well, I understand music quite well." Another reason for doing the show is producer-director Gajendra Singh, who is the pioneer of music-based shows on Indian television. She is confident about the show's success as some of the participants are trained singers while the others are natural singers. Music runs in their blood. They may not be professional singers but they all are good singers. She is proud of being a good host/ anchor. Waar Parriwar will keep her busy for the next 13 weeks, she says. Will she do the next season of Jhalak too? She quips, "As of now I don't know and I haven't heard from Sony about the next season."
