Emraan Hashmi has done several successful small budget movies and found his bearings in the industry. All the popular songs that were picturized on him made him a wanted star on the circuit. Emraan has been more in demand for performances on stage than most even big stars. But shows have slowed down and he's not able to rake in the moolah. Emraan is not giving up and is all set to take matters in his own hand. Guess, he's putting plan B in motion. Sources say Emraan is planning to get into event management along with a friend who is a well to do businessman. His event management company would primarily deal with Bollywood and organizing foreign shows would definitely be a big part of their business plans. Emraan is hoping that all his personal rapport with stars and important contacts in the industry will stand him in good stead when it comes to hosting these gala events. What's more, he'll pick himself to perform on his own hit tracks. Now that's some sharp business sense.

MALLIKA OWES IT TO BHATT

Mallika hopes to make up with Mahesh Bhatt. After all, Sherawat has become a big name only thanks to Bhatt's film 'Murde'. Working with the Bhatts also helped her learn some attention grabbing moves. But Mallika pushed her luck a bit too far hogging all the credit for 'Murder's success and inevitably had a fallout with her mentor. The two have barely been in touch with each other in the last couple of years. But now that she has turned producer herself (well, technically it's her brother producing the film), she feels the need to connect with her producer-director mentor who is a seasoned pro, to learn a few tricks of the trade. So while Mallika makes 'Hiss', she is sending out feelers to Mahesh Bhatt insisting that she'd like to get in touch with him again. She wants to go over things with the senior Bhatt regarding her production venture.

Amartya Sen's daughter is an 'intelligent actress' they say. Nandana Sen has another passion besides acting, and this one's deep. She has done work with various social causes and says she find best joy in helping the least fortunate. She is UNICEF's Advocate for Child Protection and Girl Child Education and Cause Ambassador for the NGO RAHI (Recovery and Healing from Incest) that works towards stopping child abuse. She laughs to explain that making appearances is easier than following common film industry protocol. Incidentally, Nandana started working with RAHI several years ago, when she played the traumatized protagonist of the RAHI-sponsored play "30 Days" in September. She's appalled that society does little to understand prevalence of child sexual abuse and its long-term traumatic effect on survivors.
