Now, Sridevi’s comeback

Yesteryears’ top diva Sridevi is returning to Bollywood with her forthcoming film titled 'English Vinglish'. In the movie, she plays an Indian housewife living in New York . She is compelled to grapple with cultural transition there ! Thus, she takes the message of linguistic bridge building to Indian housewives across the world, of course, via the digital and various other media. It’s significant that Sridevi who had never before known a world outside her home and family until recently would soon be addressing NRI women on Facebook. She would also open a Twitter account. This would again be meant specifically for Indian women in distress in any part of the world.
She would like to help the women, particularly those falling a victim to linguistic troubles in foreign land. She might as well start an international distress helpline! In this noble task, she will get help from experts but handle it largely by herself. This is to recall that Sridevi didn’t take much interest in film production even though her husband Boney Kapoor is the leading filmmaker of Biollywood. Filmmaker of ‘English Vinglish’ Balki believes that Sridevi will form a community of overseas women, digitally and otherwise.
