Sujoy Ghosh is completely geared up to recreate in his forthcoming movie titled 'Aladin' the same old magic that Amitabh Bachchan did in his 'Namak Haram' some 27 years ago. Sujoy has a plan that Amitabh, who plays the lead role in his forthcoming movie, would don the same classic dress that the super actor wore while grooving to the popular song 'Pag Ghunghroo' in his 'Namak Halaal'. Who could forget that number of Big that took the entire nation by the storm at that time and is still a favorite among music lovers. Yes, Amitabh will be shaking-a-leg again to this rocking hit. It is said that "In a peppy single called 'O Re Sawariya', Amitabh puts on a white 'kurta' and pink 'pagdi' that is strikingly similar to the one he wore in the Prakash Mehra`s film!
This time, Narendra Kumar has designed the costumes. In this sequence, Jacqueline Fernandes playing Jasmine is trying to woo Riteish who is playing Aladin while Amitabh Bachchan playing the character of Genius keeps popping into the scene at various points. Explaining the reason behind it, Sujoy says that he had no intention to repeat Big B's look from 'Namak Halaal'. It is purely a coincidence but it definitely shows how the actor has impacted our minds over the years through his cult performances. " We actually ended up recreating similar outfits worn by him around 27 years back", he adds.
