Pria Kataris's Fashion Show at LIFW

Pria Kataris Puri's Fashion Show on the day 2 of LIFW at NCPA Mumbai on 30th March 2008 Inspirations in the past ranged from Paris to Kashmir for Pria Katari Puri. This time she zeros in on India's glamour capital - Mumbai for her Autumn/Winter 2008 range called The Bombay Glam. Putting together a great mix of lehengas, saris and unconventional dresses, which Pria teamed with churidars; the fusion silhouettes were a mix of princess, empire, panelled cuts, highlighted with pin tucks. Pleating was the focal point for most garments in variations like box and knife along with rouching for a vintage metallic colour story that moved from old gold and silver to glittering grey, bronze, ochre, off white, teal, peach and pink. The stunning collection spelt pure royalty from the first entry by TV actor Sandhya Mridul in a glittering off-white one shoulder Lycra dress and brocade belt. To match the Bombay theme of her collection Pria chose two very apt showstoppers - Gregory David "Shantaram" Roberts and his lovely partner Princess Francoise dressed in elegant screations..
