Well, Kunal Kohli is known for Bollywood entertainers. But, his latest flick releasing June 22nd, 2012, ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’, turns out to be much ado about nothing! It just doesn’t entertain despite the reputed director and the two big stars - Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor. With a potent combination of Sash, PC and Kunal, the audience hoped for much more than they get. The story isn’t crafted and the performance lacks too. Piggy Chops dismays in ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ compared with her otherwise fantabulous track record. Shahid, on the other hand, shows signs of superstardom with an excellent performance. Overall the movie is saved by a good performance by Prachi Desai, wonderful cinematography by Sunil Patel and also plenty of good songs and dances.

Kunal Kohli of the ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Fanaa’ fame unsuccessfully weaves a story out of three separate love tales with the same pair of actors set in three periods - 1911, 1966 and 2012. Shahid and Priyanka play the strange incarnations spanning three time zones. Patel behind the camera lends color and grace to the time periods.

The movie begins in an early 1960’s Poona-to-Bombay rail coach. Shahid Kapoor playing musician character of Govind with his guitar runs into movie star Ruksar played by Priyanka. They fall in love after a bit of unpleasantness. Incidentally, Shahid meets another pretty girl played by Prachi Desai in a guesthouse. She also falls for the guitar-strumming boy. Then, jump to Shahid playing Krish and Priyanka playing Radha bump into each other in Stratford-upon-Avon (England). Krish has a girlfriend Meera played by Neha Sharma, but the latter breaks away with Krish on her birthday. Meera then posts Krish’s private photos on a social networking site.

If this isn’t enough, Kunal now gives protagonist (Shahid) the third chance in yet another life. Now, Shahid stays in Sargodha close to Lahore in the guise of a young poet Javed Quadri. True to his earlier avatars, he chases girls in the village. He strikes Priyanka again as Aradhna, daughter of a Sikh freedom fighter. Father is against the relationship, but Aradhna falls for Shahid as he humiliates a British security officer and is jailed. When freed from jail, Javed finds Arahdhna married.
