Persian Punk @LFW FW’11 The “Queen of Prints”, Pria Kataria Puri amazed the audience with her latest offering at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2011 in Mumbai last year. Inspired by Persia and the 1970s punk era, her collection was aptly named Persian Punk. Models in jumpsuits, shorts, poncho tops, gowns, kaftans, kurtas, backless tops, tiny silver bikinis with draped covers and one-shoulder blouses with printed leggings scorched the ramp. Silhouettes were playful and feminine with asymmetric hemlines and deep necklines. Actors Arjan Bajwa and Neha Sharma were the showstoppers for the designer. Pallavi Mohan @WLIFW SS’12 Treaded on the path of spring was the designer Pallavi Mohan, who showcased her latest spring summer collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2012 in New Delhi last year. The collection was called Innocent Wanderer under ‘Not So Serious’ label. Models walked down the ramp in flowy dresses, maxi gowns, breezy tops, over-lay lacy jackets, Kaftans over swimsuits and shirts over nano shorts. Silhouettes were fluid, free and feminine with layering, ruffles and flounce that exuded the soft and sensuous feel. Femina Miss India Earth, Hasleen Kaur sashayed down the ramp as the showstopper. Models Auditions For Lakme Fashion Week In a quest to mentor new faces on the ramp, Lakme Fashion Week held the male and female auditions for its 2012 summer resort season in Mumbai recently.
