Darzi by Sabah Khan A crafts person is as much important as a particular craft itself! And in a bid to pay tribute to her craftspersons and artisans, designer Sabah Khan showcased a collection called ‘Darzi’ at Lakme Fashion Week last year in Mumbai. Playing with almost all kind of silhouettes like those of kurtas, patialas, skirts, trousers, blouses, sarees or dresses, Sabah Khan gave an edge to each piece of her garments. Puffed sleeves with waistcoat stitching added a difference to the collection. French Queen Inspired Shantanu Goenka Designer Shantanu Goenka’s Spring summer 2012 collection took inspiration from French Queen Marie Antoinette. The designer showcased his collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi. At the backdrop of French Palace of Versailles, Models sashayed down the ramp in corsets, skirts, gowns and dresses paired with printed and embroidered tights. Wanderlust by Priyadarshini Rao Designer Priyadarshini’s collection titled ‘Wanderlust’ was every globetrotter’s delight! Truly inspired from a traveler’s wardrobe, the collection showcased at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring summer 2012, charmed the audience. Models strutted down the ramp in kurtas with asymmetric flares and churidaars, palazzos, jackets, dresses, gowns and long ankle length achkans.
