Bridal Affairs 2012 The season is here when back to back weddings take place. And Punjabis are quite extravagant when it comes to spending on Bridals. With an aim to make the marriage a dream wedding for a bride, the two-day exhibition called ‘Bridal Affairs 2012’ was held in Chandigarh city of Punjab. The event brought wedding planners, fashion designers, jewelry designers, and wedding decorators all under one roof. Chess The Game of Love by Sai Suman Designer Sai Suman Khanna took inspiration from the game of Chess, which according to her is also the game of love and showcased her latest creation at Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week in the city. Models oozed out elegance on the ramp clad in gowns and short dresses cut in innovative silhouettes. Designer played with colours like red, white and black with the tinge of blue and golden as well. Fabrics like silk, satin and chiffon added the sensuous feel to the collection. Bollywood actress Nisha Singh strutted down the ramp as the showstopper. An Evening in Paris by Pernia Qureshi Popular Bollywood stylist Pernia Qureshi made her debut on the ramp by showcasing her Parisian chic collection called ‘An Evening in Paris’ at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 in Mumbai recently. Models sashayed down the ramp in drop waist shifts, cigarette pants, knee length sheaths, and beaded sleek dresses. Grecian silhouettes with distinct 20’s and 60’s touch added drama to the collection. Bollywood beauty Amy Jackson of ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ fame ended the show in great style as she strutted down in solitary black sari teamed with a mandarin collar blouse.
