Friday November 25, 2011, marks the return of the accomplished jodi of John Abraham and Akshay Kumar in ‘Desi Boyz’. Their comic timing in ‘Garam Masala’ had bagged them rave reviews. They stage a comeback as Jerry and Nick in this macho story of thick friends. Akshay Kumar who plays the role of Jignesh a.k.a Jerry in the film works as a security personnel. John Abraham a.k.a Nick works as a banker. All’s hunky dory until recession hits the job markets globally and both of them are bowled over.

Nick turns from a well-paid banker with a responsible vibe – as he had made out to his long-term girlfriend Radhika played by Deepika Padukone – to one drowned in financial crisis. Jerry has his own jeopardy and is unable to fulfill his responsibilities towards his nephew Veer (sister left the kid behind) and Veer gets sent to the orphanage. Jerry and Nick in their desperation to come out of financial doldrums sign up to become male escorts. Now working as male escorts, will they be able to bring Veer back home? How will Radhika react to Nicks reality?

Amazing foot-tapping music, burning on-screen chemistry between Akshay and Chitrangada and brilliant comic timing between John and Akki is something that makes this film a complete package. Sanjay Dutt’s entry as the owner of the escort agency Nick and Jerry work for, is an added whammy. Sanjay’s strong performance in fact overshadows the other two actors at times in the film. Akshay is back firmly in the saddle; he deserves an applause too, for he matches AK’s comic timing and screen presence with great perfection.

Three cheers for this Bollywood flick. So, the advice is go check out ‘Desi Boyz’.
