Famous Bollywood studio YRF scion Uday Chopra is making a splash in Hollywood, though not as an actor. Uday is a realist, he emphasizes. He has tried his luck in Bollywood in acting but didn’t gather much at the box office. He confesses that his first love is acting, but that’s now confined to the back seat. His ‘Neal 'n' Nikki’ and ‘Pyar Impossible’ flopped. He is reportedly also broken hearted after failing to woo Bollywood actress Tanisha Mukherjee for two years.

Now, father Yash Chopra has made him CEO of Yash Raj Entertainment (YRE) based in USA. So, Uday is heading the banner’s international film producing and financing subsidiary that's working with Olivia Wilde, Nicole Kidman and Olivier Dahan of La Vie En Rose. He has just launched Yomics division of comics and animated films that will draw from the famous YRF background and Uday’s own vision. He began by signing up for a film course at the University of California, Los Angeles, before launching YRE. He managed to secure the script for Kidman-starrer ‘Grace of Monaco’ in the face of furious bidding! Now, that’s a good entry into Hollywood. Uday is preparing himself for life far away from his family and industry. He is frequently seen with actress Nargis Fakhri though she isn’t doing any film for him.
