Shona Urvashi's "Chupke Se" is all set to release on July 27.
Carrying forward the family mantle young film maker Shona Urvashi, niece of late Gul Anand brings her childhood dreams to celluloid. Her debut film "Chupke Se" is seeped in the tradition of past PLA productions like "Khatta Meetha”,"Chashme Baddoor", "Jalwa" or "Hero Hiralal", giving the message that reality can be as real a illusion as the most fantastic of imagined things.
All the characters in the film run after dreams, dreams that turn out to be mere mirages. Hiting screens on June 27, this romantic comedy "Chupke Se" will see Masumi (Urvashi's younger sister) as the female protagonist. Masumi with short film Maya Story, German film Gate to Heaven and a few TV serials behind her hopes "Chupke Se "will be her big break. Cast opposite debutant Zulfi Sayed, she plays a Mumbai girl, Megha, who wants to be a star.
"I am playing a middle class girl, who is like other girls having big dreams .She has a desire to have more and more, despite her life being full of happiness .The girl is very bubbly and mischievous, who keeps troubling everybody. She spreads her magic wherever she goes, "said Masumi. Speaking about her film at the music launch, held recently in Mumbai, the "Chupke Se" director Shona Urvashi claimed it as a fun-filled film.
"Its a romantic comedy .Its a fun -filled film .It something like you had a bad day and you want something to cheer you up. That’s what it is .You enter it makes you smile and by the time you leave you have a bigger smile,"said Urvashi. The good script and family goodwill resulted in Urvashi getting the stars she wanted which includes Rati Agnihotri, Om Puri and Tinnu Anand.
Rati Agnihotri will be seen in a new avatar in this film as the organizer of the Miss India pageant .However, the director is keeping her fingers crossed about her directorial debut which is a cute and refreshing film worth a watch.
